Ticketing and Delivery
HS/GTS issues tickets on an individual basis. When an excursion or special fare has been used, the rules on ticketing deadlines must be adhered to, all other tickets are issued 24 hours before travel date or as requested by the customer. All travel related documents and tickets are delivered to either the traveller's home or office.
HS/GTS is the only agency in the city with its own delivery vehicle and driver. In addition, when required, we use a reliable courier company.

We are fully automated for electronic ticketing and currently utilize this practice where it is applicable.

A travel itinerary advisory is provided with every international itinerary. This is a database of detailed destination information, providing travellers with current and up-to-date information pertaining to language, customs, special holidays and events, currency exchanges, points of interest, etc. in their destination city or country.

Travel Documentation and Profiles
HS/GTS has all corporate clients complete personal profiles initially. The information from these is stored in our SABRE reservation system under the "STARR" built specifically for each client. This allows us to access the information automatically each time it is needed. All preferences and general information are automatically forwarded to the respective carrier(s), hotel and car company to ensure passenger needs are met.

Visa and Passport Assistance
We maintain a stock of visa and passport application forms. Our domestic and international consultants are fully versed on requirements for each area and can assist with questions concerning documentation. Information is provided also on such matters as foreign currency, cancellation insurance, baggage restrictions, custom regulations, consulate locations, public holidays in each country as well as local customs.

Backup or Over-Run Systems
Accounting functions are on daily backup and all files are retained on microfiche. Corporate agents all have direct lines.

We rely on CORRE (Centrally Oriented Res-Review Edition) the most efficient automated quality assurance system in the industry to ensure that all aspects of the reservations you request are complete and accurate. CORRE performs around the clock quality control checks on each reservation even after the ticket has been issued. CORRE is used by our travel consultants to ensure compliance to customer travel policies, and to deliver individual travellers preferences.

HS/GTS Online is a Website for travel managers/planners and travellers which allows easy access to current information on travel matters. Our clients can book travel, update their personal profiles and stay abreast of what's new in the industry.

Virtually There
Virtually There is a post reservation tool used by our customers to review existing bookings. It gives easy access to their travel itinerary, destination and shopping information, maps, driving directions, airport information, weather updates and more. This is a world-wide service operating 7 days a week / 24 hours a day. As well, Virtually There allows travellers to update their own travel profiles. Virtually there is accessed by selecting the Virtually There icon on the top of every Harold Smith Travel web page.
